Tryon Palace, America’s Castles Part 8

An English Palace in North Carolina

Tryon Palace was constructed in the 1700s for the Governor of the colony of North Carolina. The governor brought the architect from England with him to design the Palace. When originally constructed, it was the most grand home of its time. There are other historical houses that sits near Tyron Palace.
