Robie House – Frank Lloyd Wright

th_robie1a Chicago, IL     Although constructed nearly a 100 years past, the house still stands for testament of modern design.  Frank Lloyd Wright brought a distinction to America design and the Robie House could be one of the most magnicifianct works created at the time.  Frank Lloyd worked exstensively with what is known as Praire design / Arts and Craft Style.  With clean lines and distinctive roof designs, Frank Lloyd has placed a mark on architecture and design for the rest to follow.

The Robie House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for his client Frederick C. Robie, is considered one of the most important buildings in the history of American architecture. Designed in Wright’s Oak Park studio in 1908 and completed in 1910, the building inspired an architectural revolution.
